Position Overview

As an Accounts & Finance Associate, you will be responsible for the end-to-end execution and delivery of finance, accounting, taxation, and compliance assignments for a diverse portfolio of startup clients. This is a highly collaborative, client-facing role where you will work closely with founders to ensure timely execution, proactive communication, and exceptional service.

You won’t just "do bookkeeping"—you will become a trusted strategic finance partner to the businesses you manage.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Accounting: Manage end-to-end day-to-day accounting operations for multiple startup clients.

• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare, analyze, and review monthly Management Information Systems (MIS), financial statements, and custom management reports.

• Statutory Compliance: Handle and oversee routine compliances including GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC, and other regulatory filings.

• Audit & Tax Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact to coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and other regulatory requirements.

• Founder Advisory: Partner directly with startup founders to promptly resolve strategic finance, accounting, and compliance queries.

• Stakeholder Management: Coordinate smoothly with internal teams, Chartered Accountants (CAs), Company Secretaries (CSs), and external consultants.

• Process Optimization: Continuously identify operational bottlenecks, suggest process improvements, and help build scalable finance operations for clients.

• Operational Excellence: Maintain the highest standards of data accuracy, professional integrity, and client confidentiality.

Who We’re Looking For

Education & Experience

• Preferred: Semi-Qualified CA / CA Inter.

• Alternative: B.Com / M.Com graduates with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.

• Prior experience working in a CA firm, startup finance ecosystem, or an outsourced CFO environment is highly preferred.

Core Skills & Competencies

• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of core accounting principles, GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC compliances, and robust financial reporting framework.

• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with modern accounting systems such as Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Busy, or similar ERPs is a major plus.

• Client Management: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously.

• Mindset: A strong problem-solving attitude, exceptional attention to detail, and a high sense of ownership.
